 If you are going to collect wine, it has to be stored properly with temperature, humidity, and of course as little natural light as possible. It's crucial.
How important is it to properly cellar wine? And why do you feel EVERYONE should have a J&C wine cellar?
 Wines really reward some time laying down to fully integrate…I obviously know my wine the best…and it's amazing to see how our wine has evolved over the years…all those components seem to integrate and become one and that's when the wine becomes truly special. Most of the old world wines almost demand it…like a decade before they are even approachable.
 I love [my wine cellar]. It's sort of like my space in my house. A special place where others have to be asked in. Sort of like my treehouse as an adult.

J&C recently completed a wine cellar installation in our basement, and they did a magnificent job. Curt was very responsive from the outset, even coming out on a weekend when it was more convenient for me.
All of the design work and construction was extremely professional. Everyone that Joe and Curt used on the project were top class. The tile installer was willing to come out to the house from Pennsylvania on 1 hour's notice on a Saturday to finish the job after a mix-up with our tile order resulted in a delay. We had the painter come back and paint a second room for us. And even with the delay in tile delivery, Joe and Curt were able to meet our deadline for getting the room finished before a big family party.
We are extremely happy with how the cellar turned out. We were involved with many of the design aspects, but felt extremely comfortable with letting Curt have the freedom to make final decisions over rack structure and the granite counter top that we had installed. A quick look at the work they have done in the past was enough to see that they are very experienced in this business, and that experience came through on our project.
If we ever have a desire to install a second wine room in our house, Joe and Curt will be our first, and only, call.
