Memorial Day - Soldier Salutes Half-Mast Flag

We are so blessed to live in the United States of America for so many reasons too numerous to name, but the most important reason is our men and woman who have, and are wearing the uniform. Their selfless act of defending what our founding fathers created many many years ago is such an amazing blessing!Memorial Day started as an event to honor Union soldiers, who had died during the American Civil War. It was inspired by the way people in the Southern states honored their dead. After World War I, it was extended to include all men and women, who died in any war or military action. I want to simply thank EVERY soldier who has served both past and present and pray that they understand how grateful we truly are. We say thank you for

their selfless sacrifice so we can rise out of bed with the ability to do whatever we choose. To be able to coach my son in sports, snuggle with my daughter, watch my 1 year old take his first steps, and give my wife a kiss goodnight. Joe and I have been so blessed with creating an incredible business with the best customers in the world, but it is only because of the rugged, selfless act of so many who have served, defended, and sacrificed for our great nation.Freedom was not given, it was fought for and sacrificed by so many so that we could enjoy the greatest nation the world has ever known. So as we start our long vacation weekend let us never forget why we are celebrating it and simply say

Wounded Warrior

thank you. America's fighting men and women sacrifice much to ensure that our great nation stays free. We owe a debt of gratitude to the soldiers that have paid the ultimate price for this cause, as well as for those who are blessed enough to return from the battlefield unscathed. While enjoying your long weekend filled with family and friends, we ask you to remember the meaning of Memorial Day. The first Memorial Day celebration, which dates back nearly 150 years, took place in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the Civil War. Today, our observation of Memorial Day is a time to honor the lives and memories of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation in all conflicts.Joseph & Curtis are proud supporters of the Wounded Warrior Project - please consider making a donation this Memorial Day.
