Park Ave Provenance

1045 Park Ave is a prestigious address on New York’s coveted upper east side. We recently completed a one of a kind custom wine cabinet there on a shall remain undisclosed floor as part of a gut renovation of 2 apartments that were combined into one grand space. This metal custom wine cabinet is hand crafted from top to bottom. A custom patina was hand applied and followed with wax and buffing. The client wanted a finish that did not look perfect. We used carbon steel that has natural variations in color and texture for an ‘aged finish’ that was enhanced by the patina.

This wine collection is exceptional and the custom wine cellar we designed to age the wines had an emphasis on capacity as well as presentation. The upper section holds the wine bottles horizontally on hand made metal rods that allow the bottles to float label out. We built LED illuminated self closing glide out Mahogany drawers for bulk storage.

A high end wine collection such as this requires a high end security system. Electronic Mag locks were installed for key-less access into the wine cellar. Only the husband, his wife and of course their sommelier can access this custom wine cabinet by having their eyes scanned by a state of the art Retina scanner that then releases the locks! James Bond would be proud.

Cheers!
