Contemporary Wine Cellars
The Vegas Suite
The brief came home from Las Vegas - a client wanted the mood of a modern hotel suite she'd stayed in, rebuilt as her own wine room. Acrylic racking holds just over 1,000 bottles, every rack back-lit for depth. Overhead, coffered ceilings inset with antique mirror; behind the bottles, a smoked-mirror backsplash that keeps the light moving across the tile floor. The ducted climate system hides in an adjacent room with the lighting gear, leaving the cellar itself uncluttered. The LEDs run any color - blue got the call for the shoot that put this room in Wine Spectator.
